Hi there! I’m Heidi.
I’m so happy you found my little creative space on the World Wide Web.
I’m a fashion and lifestyle blogger, a Generation-X-Woman, a wife and mom to three sweet girls. My blog was created for genuinely kind women that I would love to sit down and have a cup of coffee or tea with and have a chat about fashion, the struggles of being a woman, and all the girly-fun things that we might share a love for like pretty things!
It’s for all of you women out there who want to be introduced to new fashion styles, beauty products, lifestyle and wellness tips and for those of you who want to learn how to be more confident in your own skin.
Need help curating a stylish closet? I’ve got you covered! I’ll be creating many different style guides to help you create different looks for everyday life and special occasions. I’ll also be sharing my latest finds and style favorites with you.
My style is a bit eclectic because I love so many different kinds of styles, but if I were to describe it, I would say it’s modern chic with a feminine touch.
My hope is that my blog will be a place where women can come to be inspired to treat themselves to things they love and to help them live their life to the fullest.
It’s for all you women that are tired of neglecting yourself and are ready to start putting yourself first by saying “YES” to more things that you might enjoy. Like that
If that’s you, then welcome, friend!
My Promise to You
Every post on this blog will be written with the utmost sincerity. All opinions on products will always be completely honest! If I don’t love something, I will never share it! Period. I’ll always do my best to share things I know my audience will love. That’s why your feedback/comments are so important to me! If you ever have any questions at all about anything, please ask me by either leaving a comment, emailing me or reaching out to me on any social media platform.
I’m Lebanese and was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. I’ve been a California girl for the last 21 years and I absolutely love it here! I lost my Australian accent long ago. Although, some words I say still come out sounding Aussie.
Being a mom to three girls basically means that there’s never any nail polish left when I need it most, lol!
I just turned 41 years old and I feel like life is passing by too quickly! I feel like I somehow missed the boat on so many things I wanted to do in my life. Partly because I got married young at 19 and became a mom at 22 years old. I love being a mom and my girls are the absolute best gifts I have been given in my life. They’re also my best friends. Probably because I forced them to be since I really don’t have any close friends of my own, lol! Sad, but true.
The great part about having kids young is that I get to really enjoy my girls and can really relate to their teenage struggles. Although I cherish being a mom, it also makes me sad that I never got a chance to discover who I was before I settled down. I never really lived the “single life” of having freedom without so many responsibilities. I can honestly tell you that having regrets in life is one of the saddest things ever!
So my blog is my way of writing about the things I love and my hope is to inspire you to start living your life intentionally every day.
A Bit More About Me
I was fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home mom for about 11 years. But then, I had to venture out into the so-called “real world” of corporate America about 8 years ago to help contribute to my family’s income. I worked as a Commercial Lines Insurance Producer/Broker. That job consumed my soul each and every day. Thankfully, I was fired from that soul-crushing job last year (3 days before my 40th birthday which was the best birthday gift ever!). Those 7 years in corporate America were the worst years of my life!
I hated every moment I spent away from my kids and my home! I was desperate to find a better way! I finally realized that if I want my life to change, then I have to change it.
I didn’t want to look for another corporate job and I didn’t have the time, nor the desire, to go back to school to switch career paths.
I had to find another way. That’s when I started to learn more about blogging and decided to poor all of my creative energy into starting a blog.
My hope is that my blog will be a big success so that I never have to go out and look for another so-called “real job.”
I actually didn’t think I would ever be a fashion blogger because I’m insecure about myself in so many ways. Especially about my body and especially after having 3 kids! I have tons of cellulite and stretch marks.
But, I just felt so drawn to fashion and lifestyle blogging!
Perhaps it’s because fashion is something I’ve always loved, but I also suppressed that side of me for so many years. That’s what happens when you let everyday life lead you. You forget who you are as a woman, you forget who you wanted to be. And sometimes, you wonder if you’ll ever get to a point where you feel like yourself again.
So, my blog is my way of writing about the things I love and about creating new experiences for myself that I get to share with you.
If you feel like you’re in a similar situation in life as I am, or if you just want to stick around to learn more, I would love it if you would come along with me on my new blogging journey.
